Despite the Staal, Granlund, Zucker line playing extremely well, Minnesota was 1-2 this past week. Columbus was just that much better, and some horrible bounces off of Nick Seeler doomed the Wild versus Toronto in a well played game. It's not been the best five games for the Minnesota Wild. Matt Dumba's scoring has been outstanding, but on the other side he's had some huge lapses which cost the Wild deeply, particularly in Chicago. Mikael Granlund has been nothing short of spectacular this year, and is now on pace to set the team record for goals in a season. Zach Parise has been the Parise of old, that made us so giddy on July 4th 2012. Ryan Suter is back to being a top defenseman, and Mikael Granlund has been downright awesome, not being afraid to shoot the puck! The Minnesota Wild season is over in the first round of the playoffs yet again. Once again we've seen the same players disappear at the time they are needed most. The new top line for the Minnesota Wild was amazing, with 26 combined points in its first three games together. With this line in tact, Minnesota would get to five wins in a row, including pounding Mike Yeo and the St Louis Blues 8-3.
