Let Your Journey Begin

There are so many mysteries in the Bible and yet when you study the old and new Testaments, God will show you who He is!

I have prayed for people that I know I have hurt in my life. Perhaps someone out there is praying forgiveness for hurting me and for you. We must forgive as Christ has forgiven us.

To often, we strike out on a course that we have decided is best instead of following God's plan for our lives! Be sure you ask God before you make any decisions in your life! Follow Him for purpose, peace and joy!

We have all heard the argument that we are saved by deeds or by faith. When you have faith and follow Christ, you will want to do good deeds for the glory of His kingdom! Follow Christ and let Him change your life!

It is critical to this generation and the generations to follow that we stand firm on God's breathed Word on the page! False teachers surround us and have infiltrated the church. Get into the Word of God yourself so that you will know what is written and pray that He opens your minds and hearts to know the truth!

Being 'straight' is not a fruit of the Spirit - self control is. That same thought applies to sobriety or abstinence from smoking, pornography or extramarital affairs. Neither are fruits of the Spirit but self control is. Jesus can set you free from any sin in your life. What you cannot do for yourself, He has the power to do in you and for you.

My worship life has changed ever since I attended revival at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. I realized, through these young people, that we are not the audience in church. God is our audience. Is He pleased with our hearts and minds? Do we give Him our full attention in the service of worship and praise? Thank you Lord for showing me what true worship looks like! Thank you for moving through young students to teach us old folks how to worship!

God wanted bitter herbs to be served alongside the lamb for Passover. He did this to remind us that there is no salvation without suffering. This is so true in my life. Only in suffering, betrayal, loneliness and pain did I find Jesus. When everyone walked out of my life, Jesus walked in. Pain has great value and God will use it to draw you even closer to His Son.

Revival not only consists of praise and worship; it also includes our turning from a life of sin! True revival leads to a transformed life. How blessed we are that Christ died to forgive us of our sins and welcomes us into eternal life!

The Lord is about to do something new in your life! Get ready! There will be no one and nothing to stop you! 

It is critical to create a quiet place to hear the voice of The Lord.  You may have to get up early or stay up late but find that place in your home, work or even in your car to be still and know that He is God.

Lord, church has always been about us.  Going forward, may it be all about YOU! Transform our hearts and revive our church!

It was a life changing experience.  We've had it all wrong.  Lord, revive our hearts.  May our worship always be about YOU! 

There is so much searching today for happiness in all the wrong places.  Come to Jesus and experience true peace and joy in your life. 

Do you tend to take credit for all the success you have had in your life? It may be time to learn a valuable lesson from King David. He won many battles and took credit for none!  He gave all glory to our Lord, His King! 

Mary of Bethany poured expensive perfume over the feet of Jesus.  What are you willing to sacrifice? What are you willing to lay at His feet?

I had struggled with the word 'faith' until God opened a deeper meaning with the translation of the word 'faith' to 'trust'!  Do I have faith?  You bet I do because I trust Him! Don't limit yourself to one version of His Word.  Dig deeper into the rich historical meanings of His Word on the page! Your life will be richer for it!

Is there anything in our lives that comes between us and a relationship with God? Does unrepentant sin hinder our prayers?

Don't get caught up in where and what time to worship the Father.   instead, worship Him throughout each day! Stand on His promises and stay in His Word to know His truth! 

God may remove you from life's distractions and bring you into a place of stillness so that you can hear what you could not hear before.  In the desert of your life, He will speak to you, lead and guide you to become the person He has created you to be.
