979 BC: The Suffering of David and the Messianic Psalms
22/08/2015 Duration: 25minOnce Absolam goes to Hebron and declares himself king, his rebellion increases in strength and numbers and David has to evacuate Jerusalem. Upon his evacuation from Jerusalem, David and his court and his mighty men marched for two miles to and up the Mount of Olives. The two mile march is filled with weeping and mourning and prophetic symbolism. In addition, the psalms written during or about this time period express the true heart of David. The mourning and sadness of the march combined with the prophetic gift of worship touch the heart of God to such proportions that psalms 22 and others speak of the future suffering of Jesus upon the cross and the forgiveness of all sins on the cross at Calvary. 2 Samuel 15:13 - 2 Samuel 16:14Psalms 3, 55, 38, 42 and 22www.messagetokings.com
