#515. What got to Bruno Fernandes more? The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at the club; the pressure of a 90th minute match-saving penalty; or Emiliano Martinez' less-than-sporting but still quite funny shithousery? All three perhaps. When West Ham supporters serenaded Jesse Lingard as "one of our own" on Sunday they probably didn't anticipate the player, who has been at United since the age of seven, would return the gesture with the winning goal. #512. Ronaldo this, Ronaldo that. The prodigal son returned to Old Trafford and scored twice as United beat Newcastle to go top of the table after four games. With Ryan Giggs in the Directors Box, Old Trafford worshipped Ronaldo like never before. It makes for an uncomfortable conversation about lionised footballers and violence against women.
