I sit down with the ever mercurial Jeremiah Isley who spent 4 days at Gen Con chatting with people and recording their thoughts and feelings about one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world. TMG will be releasing this as a special episode of the TMG Podcast on September 12.

Part two of my conversation with Richard Early, where he describes the challenges he faced with opening his own brick and mortar game store, and how he has managed to succeed for 24 years (and counting).

I have known Rich Early for 20+ years and he is a good friend. The fact that he continues to be an avid comic book enthusiast, game store owner, and avid card game player while dealing with his disability is a testament to both his character and positive attitude about both his career and life in general.

It was a long convention, and tiring in many ways, but games were played, laughs were shared, and business got done. The CEO Michael Mindes and I talk about Gen Con and our experiences there.

He has used Kickstarter to launch many of his titles, and he has experienced it all when it comes to the highs and lows that using the system can bring. I manage to get him to come clean about his thoughts about the process.

I have known Travis Chance for a long time, and he has done pretty much everything within the boardgame hobby. I get the chance to quiz him about the many different things he has done and how he manages to stay inspired as a creator and publisher.

Michael Mindes, the CEO of TMG, sits down and describes his ideas and vision for the creation of a boardgame media network that will both help TMG reach the gamers, and that will make meaningful and impactful changes to the tabletop industry.

Lance sits down with noted boardgame reviewer Forrest Bower to talk about how the world of tabletop media has changed in the last 5 years.

What are some of the prevalent brands within the boardgame industry today?  These are some of the questions Lance and Michael try to address and answer in this weeks podcast.
