2017 is upon us. I want to talk about something that changed everything for me when it comes to annual planning. How I used to plan for a new year was on January 1st I would sit down and start to create my resolutions for the year. It would be overwhelming and I would not normally reach any of them because it was so long and I always changed my mind on a monthly basis anyways. Annual goals just really didn’t work for me. When I discovered creating more of a 90-day plan, that’s when everything changed. I had less stress trying to complete goals for 90 days. Previously, I didn’t know how to break down my annual goals into milestones and actions.

A vision board is a wonderful tool to help you get clarity on your goals, a guide to help you make decisions that will support your dream life, and an elegant representation of your why- why you’re taking the time and effort to make a change for the better! I am super excited to share to you all what our guest expert, Chrysta Bairre, shared when she gave a special training for the women in my course about creating intentional vision boards and she really knows her stuff!! She has some great tools to help us clarify what we want in our work and to figure out the type of life we are trying to create. Here is how you can have your own vision board workshop.  

I wanted to do this topic because I love getting the behind the scenes and diving in deep into what other entrepreneurs are doing and what actions are they taking. I wanted to talk about our business here and how we go about creating our annual plans. I want to walk you through that process because when I was starting seven years ago, I had no idea how to create an annual business plan and I had a new idea every month. I was all over the place. So let's get you a little bit more focused for 2017!  

Today's episode is on one of my absolute favorite topics!! Pinterest!  I used to write consistent content on my blog. I knew it was great content that needed to be read by a lot more people. It was such a bummer to write so much and spend so much time blogging but then not have many people read my content. I was also getting 10-20 email optins each day but I really wanted to grow my email list so that I could grow my business.  Everything changed a year ago when I decided to focus all of my attention into Pinterest. I basically became a student of the platform. I spent hours each day working and studying Pinterest and really understanding what works and what doesn’t. The time I put in during 2016 really paid off because we have seen so much business growth this year.  It’s really pretty exciting.  What are the results we’ve seen this year? Yesterday we received 422 email optins in one day!! YES! And in one year we went from 100,000 page views per month to 500,000 page views per month. Our traffic from Pintere

We recently had a big mileston to celebrate at Classy Career Girl. 500K page views per month!! It's something that definitely did not happen overnight or was it easy. It required a lot of studying tracking and figuring things out. But there are some foundational things we did in 2016 that really set us up for some major success and I am going to cover them today. The main things we did to get 500K page views per month without guest posting which is what most other online marketers believe is the way to increase your traffic. I kind of don't and you'll learn why in this podcast. I created an online course all about how to get the same website traffic results as I have at CCG.
