Jamaica’s birth rate has been steadily declining over the past few years. According to data from MacroTrends, the current birth rate for Jamaica in 2023 is 15.107 births per 1000 people, which is a 1.46% decline from 20221. In 2022, the birth rate was 15.331 births per 1000 people, a 1.45% decline from 20211. Similarly, in 2021, the birth rate was 15.556 births per 1000 people, a 1.42% decline from 20201.
