24/08/2011Hello parents and students. This is Mr T and it's week 2 at Legacy Academy iSchool. We're still spending lot of time on expectations and we're working on a number of procedures. We're trying to make sure everyone understands and follows, such as transitions to and from classrooms, specials; lunch room. Mr T's iSchool phlog - Legacy Academy at the Elbert County Fair, Kiowa CO
03/08/2011Hi, this is Dave Tallents and I just want to tell you that the calvary has arrived. Brayden Wardrop and Kim Baum are at the Legacy [Academy] marketing booth at the Elbert County Fair in Kiowa, Colorado. We're streaming a video that gives a little information on the awesomeness of the iSchool plan and we have the Mac, we have the 32in HDTV, right? We have an iPad here and Macbook, and we're doing all this without wireless. So stop by if you can and if you're a Legacy parent, please steer people in here that are on the fence about their decision for elementary and middle school this coming year, academic year 2011 and 2012.

Dave's phlog - talking about legacy academy, patterson film, youtube, roger patterson, wikipedia
26/07/2011Hi I'm Dave Talent and I used the 40 year old Roger Patterson film of Big Foot when I'm introducing the scientific method to my 4th graders at Legacy Academy. The kids viewed the video and they hypothesized on possible answers on what they are seeing. The number one reason I used it is just because of the discussion that it fosters because you have most of these kids are either true believers or nay sayers there's a lot of them that are in between that are trying to form their own conclusions and answers on about the video. I've included a Wiki link, Wikipedia link that gives background information regarding Big Foot and I've also of course included a YouTube.

19/05/2011Hello 4th graders, this is Mr T and it is Thursday on our cancelled field day just wanted to alert you parents that many of the students did not take their gym shoes home. So they are sitting in a bucket out in front of my classroom in the hallway and they'll be there until tomorrow evening which is Friday and then after that I think they're gonna be donated to the physical education department for students that need foot wear next year. So hope to see you perhaps and otherwise their shoes will be put to good use. Thanks. Bye.
