How are you feeling today? Tuesday’s apparently the toughest day of the week, in regards to how happy people feel. This is according to Dr. Tamlin Conner from the psych department at the University of Otago who has conducting a study focussing on the happiness of men and women during different times of the day on each day of the week. She used an innovative method of texting questions to her subjects as well and found that Tuesday was the day when people felt most down or unhappy and men were overall more ‘up’ then women. Kicking off our Monday was ex Christchurch Mayor, Mr. Garry Moore. Now that he’s not in the hot seat, Garry can quite happily give his opinion on the city without incurring the wrath of the greater community. But he’s a wise man and we wanted to hear his thoughts on the rebuilding of parts of our fair city and in particular, rebuilding/rejuvenating the city centre. Oh, and abolishing the one way system, yeah there’s that too.

So first up we spoke with New Zealand’s best comedy/historian and opinionist Te Radar. This eco friendly nugget of stand up is performing his very popular Eating the Dog show around New Zealand, visiting smaller towns and selling out their halls. We caught up with Te Radar this morning, when he spoke with us from Waimate and will be arriving in Canterbury tomorrow, with a Friday night show in Rolleston then Sunday he’ll be at the New Brighton Eco Market with a show that evening too. Also we had the absolute pleasure of having Christchurch ex-pat Lindon Puffin in studio this morning for a chat and a song. He has come down to play the Band Together concert in Hagley Park tomorrow arvo so it made sense to get the wee gem in. We had an interesting chat with a man by the name of Gerard Kennedy who is an expert on the subject of something called Sexomnia. Gerard is in town because there is a big conference held by the Australasian Sleep Association so we got hold of him for a chat before he presents his piece. Guys, have you ever got it on with your partner whilst sleeping, only to wake up in a very precarious position, OR having just recieved a slap to the face? Turns out it’s not a huge problem with males, but it does exist.

You are most probably aware there are a lot of very talented bands in our fair city of Quakechurch, and one in particular - five piece Von Voin Strum joined us in the studio this morning for a chat and a toon. Von Voin took out the grand champion title at this year’s Battle of the Bands for Christchurch, and are dead set on becoming a very exciting feature in the local circuit. Sam, Kurt and Matthew, each armed with an acoustic axe came in to tell us about their gig happening tonight at Goodbye Blue Monday tonight. Have a listen to their live to air of ‘Take me Home’.

This morning we brought you a very popular feature called Religious Roast and on the platter today was Paganism. One division of Paganism is a religion called Wicca which we were really keen to learn more about but our interviewee Debbie Dawson is more of a witch and not so much a Wiccan.
