31/08/2007 Duration: 59minThis episode is continued because it just got too long! Derek Coward of the Comic Book Noise family of podcasts joins us for this gabfest. Although I'm the only one that has yet seen the Dr. Strange animated feature, that didn't stop us from talking about the movie, and Dr. Strange in general, for over 20 minutes! I had the chance to see "The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled" a reconstruction of a masterpiece by famed animator Richard Williams. I rave about that for another 17+ minutes! We get down to the BOP! KomicsKast - #80 Part A - Noiseys, Wiki, League, "Chicks," N3RDcast Live
28/08/2007 Duration: 57minJon's still away on vacation (or was at least, when we recorded this on Sunday) so our good friend Derek Coward of the Deliberate Noise Network joined us for this episode. The show went so long I decided to experiment with splitting it in two. PLEASE let us know what you think of the idea! In Part A of episode 80 we discuss the Noisey Awards, the League of Comic Book Podcasts, and the Comic Book Podcast Wiki, with their creator, Derek. Not to mention all the other podcasts that Derek does, or hosts! I had a chance to listen to two new (new for me) shows that are fellow members of the League of Comic Book Podcasts, Just Another Fanboy, and Fanboy Face-Off. Lene Taylor of the I Read Comics Podcast just did a show with her "big brother" reminiscing about their younger days of reading and collecting comics. Although I'm a big fan of I Read Comics and enjoy EVERY show, this one, in particular, struck a chord with me. I visited with Kwip, Happy Jack, and Dr. Sexy of the N3RDcast over the weekend and they broke

KomicsKast - #65 Complete with BotP for comics shipped May 16, 2007
21/05/2007 Duration: 01h14minI'm trying something new - minimal editing, which means that I can post a complete show the same day it's recorded (most of the editing that I do by the way, is to take out heavy breathing, lip smacks, mic clunks, and when we talk over each other). My feeling is that if I do this, it we leave me more time to research and produce some of my signature segments like Silver Age Goodness, and The Funnypapers. Like I say, it's a test and we'd appreciate your feedback. Joining us this show is Jon Hook whom you may know from his Great Comic Books segments on SciFiDig. Most of the show is Bottom of the Pile this time since Jon had a big pile of new comics this week.
