Erik Karlsson’s wife, Melinda, filed a protection order against his teammate Mike Hoffman’s girlfriend Monika Caryk. Numerous threats were made to the Karlssons on social media, and they believe Monika is behind it. We discuss why it’s not wise to have a burner. Jenn tells us about a woman who got her head stuck in a truck’s exhaust pipe at country music festival. She was stuck for about 45 and of course, video of it went viral. And a dog walker stumbled upon two people having relations on a gravestone at a church, filmed it and gave it to the police. End of story, right? Wrong! Big news! Canada, US and Mexico will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In that spirit, Derringer tests our knowledge when it comes to the foods that go along with the World Cup countries. Ovechkin is having the time of his life celebrating his Stanley Cup win, and we’re loving it! In the words of Ovi himself… We’re not going to be suck this year! This is soooo creepy! Cute little teddy bears from the toy company CloudPets will no longer be sold due to privacy concerns. The company exposed more than two million recorded messages to potential hackers. Yikes! And Ryan saw something he had never seen before while sitting in traffic on the 427 yesterday. A guy pulled over on the side of the road to have a little snooze. The hashtag #ThanksCanada was trending on Twitter last night because of Trump’s attack on Justin Trudeau, so we thought talk about the things we can thank our great country for. Rush, maple syrup, poutine… you get the idea! There was some drama that came with The Bachelorette last night (shocker), but not the kind of drama you’d expect! Viewers were not happy when the show was interrupted for Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un’s handshake… Bankrupt Penthouse magazine recently sold for just $11 million. Like most magazines, it struggled in the new media environment. Everything is online now! And it’s an exciting day for our Johnny Garbutt! A convenience store customer accidentally forgot his lottery ticket after paying for some items. Turns out it was a winning ticket and the convenience store returned the ticket. How awesome is that?! It’s Jenn’s birthday today, and she shares it with some pretty cool people. Happy birthday, Jenn! It’s mating season, which means the birds are on the attack! Signs have popped up around Toronto parks that read ‘Beware of Red Wing Black Birds’. So keep an eye out… you don’t want to take a bird to the head! In some parts of China, couples looking to split up may have to fail a quiz before doing so. And apparently the more they know about each other, the more likely they’ll be able to reconcile. This is all to help with the rise of divorce rates in the country.
