The Latest Cause of College-Student FOMO
31/03/2022 Duration: 13minWhen we learned that, apparently, LinkedIn causes stress and FOMO for college students [https://www.wsj.com/articles/for-college-students-linkedin-fomo-is-realthese-tips-will-help-11647045049?st=5oeipimyvlrv9qm&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink], we obsessed about our own LinkedIn profiles, as well as life in the olden days when resumes were on paper and you had to talk to potential employers on the telephone.

YouTube Goes to School
30/03/2022 Duration: 08minA Wall Street Journal article about YouTube in the classroom [https://www.wsj.com/articles/youtube-is-a-huge-classroom-distraction-teachers-are-reluctant-to-banish-it-11647656643?st=jwes8cn1sxfw83c&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink] got us (well, mostly Nicole) complaining about people who complain about technology in school. What We’re Watching: As We See It Episode 8 and The Gilded Age Episode 7
29/03/2022 Duration: 32minOn this week's entertainment-themed Round 2, we wrapped up the (first?) season of As We See It with "Please Don't Leave." Everything's coming up Douglas, and Mandy manages to patch things up with Harrison after he learns about his parents' plans. If the show comes back, we'd like more roommate stories and less focus on the neurotypical drama, please. On The Gilded Age, it's nothing but neurotypical drama in "Irresistible Change" as Tom and Marian have a secret meeting, Turner gets fired, Gladys finally gets to grow up, and George is possibly on the hook for manslaughter (plus, there's drama in Catherine's house which you may overhear). Next week, we'll watch the final two episodes of this season: "Tucked Up in Newport" and "Let the Tournament Begin."

Is It Time for Permanent Daylight Saving Time?
28/03/2022 Duration: 13minThe U.S. Senate's vote to make Daylight Saving Time permanent got us talking about the twice-yearly time change, and whether it really makes kids squirrely or is just a minor inconvenience that's quickly forgotten.

Roundabout Roundup: Heidi Wrangles Cats, HARDY, and Making Fun
25/03/2022 Duration: 08minOn this week’s Roundabout Roundup, Nicole's Instagram Minute is back with cat rescuer Heidi Wrangles Cats [https://www.instagram.com/heidiwranglescats/]. And Catherine's enjoying #grumpyjimmy DiResta on Making Fun [https://www.netflix.com/title/81267200]. Also mentioned: Making It [https://www.nbc.com/making-it].

PSA: What Not to Say
24/03/2022 Duration: 11minIt seems that some of our family members need a public service announcement about thoughts and opinions they should keep to themselves. Or perhaps find a more tactful way to express. (A mom can dream.)
-
Time for a Garage Sale
23/03/2022 Duration: 14minInspired by a mom who mercilessly sold her kids' toys on eBay, we complain about the stuff in our homes we'd like to put a price tag on and shove out the door (although two of us are more motivated than the third).
-
What We’re Watching: As We See It Episode 7 and The Gilded Age Episode 6
22/03/2022 Duration: 25minOn this week's entertainment-themed Round 2, so much betrayal. On As We See It ("Outed"), Harrison feels deceived by Mandy, Jack realizes he isn't fooling anyone into thinking he's neurotypical, and Violet finds out Van wants her to move to a residential treatment center. Next: "Please Don't Leave," the season finale. On The Gilded Age, Agnes's butler, Bannister, commits the sin of moseying across the street and posing as the Russells' butler. As the episode title reminds him, "Heads Have Rolled for Less." Next: "Irresistible Change."

When Less Is More
21/03/2022 Duration: 14minAn episode of the Choiceology podcast [https://www.schwab.com/resource-center/insights/content/choiceology-season-9-episode-1] about Strider balance bikes [https://striderbikes.com/] got us talking about how removing steps, pieces, or extra clutter can help kids master a skill. Terri also thinks there's a market for balance bikes for small adults, so call us, Strider!

Speed-Round Sunday: Do You Answer the Door?
20/03/2022 Duration: 06minSpam phone calls are bad enough, but what about when salespeople come to your door—do you open it or hide until they go away? Or what if it's a kid selling cookies? Or a neighbor with a dead goose? We assess our degree of welcoming on today's Speed Round.
