Or, maybe it's just running into his cousin's apartment, armed, and angry, threatening to "make an example" of someone. Whatever he does, it's a party. This week, we check out a man who has kept large crowds on their toes, for decades. This week, we go back to a much different time, with a man who had his first boxing match in 1891, after learning to fight against "hobos" in train cars at age 13! He wasn't some boring, old timey guy, though. He was a scammer, and a flamboyant fighter, who did many things for the first time. He invented "your shoes are untied", then knocking someone out, when they looked down. He employed thumbtacks. He was a part of fixed fights. He did it all. Including appearing in many silent films, and even teaching Charlie Chaplin to box. All of this leads to a terrible murder, of course. A murder that sends him to prison, where he does more interesting things! This week, we check out a man who is known very little for his brief MMA career, but he is a "superstar" of crime. After washing out of the lowest levels of MMA, he takes a job at Home Depot, meeting some new friends, and trying to lead a normal life. He meets some new friends, while selling them a barbecue, which to a night of heavy drinking, and good times. The problem is, at the end of the night, both of his new friends are dead, and the entire scene is soaked in blood. An English kickboxer, with international titles, but we barely have time for any sports, due to this episode being packed with crime. Wall to wall. His main occupation was robbing drug dealers for very large amounts of cash & product. Sometimes, needing to torture the unsuspecting dealer with a clothes iron. He claims to the main person to set off a famous riot, that lasted 9 days, and injured hundreds. He's just an all around bad dude. This week, we look at hall of fame player, who was the best at what he did, from the second he stepped on to a basketball court. But under the surface, there was allegations of a decade of abuse, with implements of violence ranging all the way from a baseball bat, to a large cookie. He came from bad circumstances, being called "crusty" as a kid, but used basketball to overcome that situation, making himself an extremely wealthy man, in the process. All of that, and he never left his friends behind. Which sounds nice, unless your friends continue to beat, shoot, attack, street race, and be accused of even worse. This week, we check out the life of the man who inspired Sylvester Stallone to write the Rocky character. He came from the streets, liking a barroom brawl even more than a fight in the ring. In boxing, he was known mainly for two things, being the bloodiest fighter, maybe in boxing history, and getting a shot, out of nowhere, to fight Muhammad Ali, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Just like Rocky! He spends the rest of his life selling liquor, legally, and for a little while, selling cocaine, illegally. A federal investigation brings an end to that, but years later, he's in hot water, again, this time for being involved with memorabilia counterfeiting!! The crazy never stops with this guy!
