Checked Out's B.O.- The Failure of the Public School System
27/11/2015 Duration: 08minWe don't blame the teachers. We blame their bosses who decide what nonsense to teach the kids and what fundamental things they fuck up. Case in point: the Manifesto of Trippy Trev. Matt reads Trippy's Manifesto, written to persuade his love-interest's best friend that she shouldn't hate him and should give him a chance. We agree, Trippy. Everyone deserves a chance. Initially, Trippy brought it to Matt's attantion before the show and told Matt that he would like to red it on the air. Matt vetoed that and said that he would read it himself and Trippy can explain it. Matt knew there would be spelling errors. Thanks, New Jersey public schools. Checked Out's B.O.- Pete Unloads on Trippy
26/11/2015 Duration: 03minBack in the Inside Radio days, we often let Trippy James Trev play his song parodies and included the goings-on in his life in the show. Let's face it, an 18 year-old does more interesting things with his time than two 37 year-olds do. And, yay, tho they may be trivial and sometimes annoying things, it's all new to the 18 year-old and its his or her wide-eyed wonderment that entertains us. But, apparently, Pete had had enough with Trippy playing his song parodied (which really weren't parodies inasmuch as they were just songs rearranged to serve his ego. Matt knows this all-too-well because he's never stopped doing that for his own ego.) During a segment called "Songs That Make Us Cringe", Trippy started off his turn by playing one of his songs. That caused Pete to tear into him. Checked Out Episode 315- Season 3 Finale
23/11/2015 Duration: 02h42minWell, another season has come to a close. This is a shorter season, as you may have noticed. That's basically the fault of the holidays coming up. We've decided that between holiday shopping, holiday parties and Pete's Christmas Ballet Recital (he's a great dancer), it would be best if we just took the rest of the year off. HOWEVER, this is no reason for you, our loyal listener, to feel despondent. I mean, after all, you come to Checked Out for an escape from the insanity of your world. And nothing is more insane than the Christmas Season. So, to help you, we will release "Checked Out's Best-Of Bits", which are shorts best-of bits taken from previous shows. We'll even throw in some "between takes" stuff. This episode is a long one. Isn't it? Look at the time. Wow! Almost three hours. Why is that? A few reasons: 1) we were drunk, 2) Pete was rushing us and craftsmanship had to take a back seat, 3) Matt won't have the time to edit two shows, 4) Obama, 5) ISIS and 6) because that's the way we fucking did it.

Checked Out Episode 314- Beer Snob and JeopBEERdy from the Czig Meister Brewery
15/11/2015 Duration: 01h20minIt's finally here, adoring fans! Fresh off an appearance on "Drinking Dirty in Jersey", the Beer Snob and his crew from the hit web-series, "The Beer Snob", stop by our show. Recorded live from the empty warehouse that will soon be the Czig Meister Brewery, Matt, Pete and Jimmy hold their first "big deal" of a show. Not only did we have the Beer Snob, but the show was videotaped, Marquis Allen came all the way out to Hackettstown to just sing a few lines for us, Superfan Mark, was on for November's Listener Appreciation and Matt Czigler not only had plenty of insanely great beer on tap (FINALLY!), but he also drew the Brew Class Contest winner's name from Jimmy the I-talian's greasy fedora. Woah! That was one long and poorly constructed sentence. But the moment the world has waited for for months finally comes at the end when we pit the Beer Snob against the Brew Master in our first (and probably last) playing of JeopBEERdy with host, ALEx Trebrew. Who knows more about beer? Well, press play to find out. T

Checked Out 313- Belches, 12-inch Chicken Pounding, Jersey Boys and Brainstorming for JeopBEERdy
12/11/2015 Duration: 59minSo this episode is different. It's only two segments. The first segment, the "banter" segment, is typical. We talk about whatever. Things like Matt's belching philosophy, Pete pounding a chicken, the Jersey Boys and other shit. Then, in the second segment, we give you, our valued listener, a special treat. You know how you always ask yourself "how do these guys make their productions seem so flawless?" Of course you do. Well, here's a chance for you to see (or hear) how the sausage is made. We use the second segment to have a pre-pre-production meeting. Seeing as how we were pressed for time and couldn't finish a show AND have a meeting, we decided to have the meeting on the show. Apologies in advance. Checked_Out_Episode_312-_F_Marry_or_Kill_the_Food_Edition_and_New_Potpourri
10/11/2015 Duration: 01h41minIn this episode Jimmy the Italian tells us his thoughts on the Back to the Future 9-11 video . Yeah, you have to see it to believe it. We also briefly discuss a request from one of our U.K. listeners to donate to a charity for brain cancer in honor of his late brother. Here is the link. Please donate. Www.justgiving.com/MARKSandSPENCER-Bexhill-BrainTumourCharity Jimmy presents Matt and Pete with a game that he came up with. It's a twist on the popular and beloved children's game, Fuck, Marry or Kill. In this version, Jimmy gives them 3 choices of food that they can either immediately never have again (kill), have whenever you want (marry) and fuck (fuck one hard, nasty last time). Originally it was titled Food, Marry or Kill, but mid-game we realized that the word "fuck" still works. News potpourri starts off light-hearted, but soon turns heated when Jimmy the Italian all but admits that he would be willing to see Matt Josephs killed or imprisoned for not complying with a Sanders utopia. Checked Out Episode 311- Back to the Future and What Would Jimmy the Italian Do...Again
06/11/2015 Duration: 01h04minBack to the Future has been in the public consciousness again and that leads Matt and the boys to discuss not only the Back to the Future trilogy, but other great movies from our youth. In the second segment we revive the classic Checked Out game, "What Would Jimmy the Italian Do?" Plus a short recommendation of Gillian Flynn's books, Dark Places, Gone Girl and Sharp Objects and a special announcement about a future episode when we will be on the show "Beer Snob"! Checked Out Episode 310- Out of Control Halloween and Phone Sex with Jared from Subway
02/11/2015 Duration: 01h04minDontcha hate it when adults get more excited about Halloween? Arntcha bewildered how every single costume for an adult female is the slut version of what it's supposed to be? Or dontcha shake your head in shame that our society has created such a thing as "Trunk or Treat"? Really? all that stuff bothers you too? Wow, you're just as much a curmudgeon as Matt, Pete and Jimmy. This episode is for you. Now, the new tradition on Checked Out is to have the last segment of every Monday show be "News Potpourri". Once again, however, Pete goofed and we lost the news potpourri segment. Luckily, while recording episode 311, Matt had the foresight to record a segment discussing Jared from Subway's phone sex tape as played on Dr. Phil even though there was no time for it in episode 311. His genius, once again, has paid off. The last segment of this episode discusses Jared from Subway's disgusting phone sex tape with an equally disgusting heifer. Checked Out Episode 309- Kids Shows, Annoying Drivers and People Who Think You Should Live As They Do
23/10/2015 Duration: 01h17minWe're sure kids shows were always a tad annoying and obnoxious to the adults who were forced to watch them with their children. We'd like to think that, for a while, at least, parents love the shows because they love to see the joy it gives their little darling. But we suspect that, at least, dads cringe when they hear certain shows. Shows like Team Umi Zoomi or Spongebob Squarepants come on in the other room and our shoulders tense and we briefly lament our care-free, childless days. Matt, Pete, Jimmy and listener, Dan, all discuss the state of kids shows today in our opening segment. Then we move on to the annoying things we encounter while driving. And, finally, you know that one vegan friend you have? How about the new mom who will only breastfeed her child to the point that she almost kills it because her teets ain't nutritious enough? Or the douche that will only buy fair trade? In and of themselves, those aren't necessarily bad things--except almost killing your baby because you read something some

Checked Out Episode 308- The Tesla Auto-pilot, Listener Appreciation and People Who Think Zombies Are Real
19/10/2015 Duration: 01h15minMatt rode in a Tesla with the new auto-pilot feature and it was both terrifying and wonderful. Dan Lawrence sits in with the show as part of Checked Out's "Listener Appreciation Program". Once a month we will invite one of our more active (and local) listeners to sit in with us. Imagine how cool it must be for your heroes to invite you to hang with them and be on their show and, most importantly, to show you that, yes, it's true, our heroes are not normal people after all and are super human. Ya know how, during the month of October, you see some of your Facebook friends posting shit about zombies? Or how everyone goes nuts when the Walking Dead is back on? How about adults-- fully grown people-- post serious articles about how to survive a Zombie Apocalypse? They don't do this as a joke. No, they think it's a real possibility. Cornell University even wasted money on a study on how to survive one. And you still don't believe us that #collegeisajoke ? Listener, Dan Lawrence, tipped us off to a Youtube Vi

Checked Out Episode 307- Mac n Cheese Kid and News Potpourri
15/10/2015 Duration: 01h22minHave you seen that UConn douche who just wanted his Fucking Bacon and Jalapeno Mac and Cheese but couldn't get it because he had an open beer bottle? Well, after many emails badgering him to come on the show, Luke Gatti relented and came on for an interview. He apparently hasn't learned. Here's his apology video. http://firstwefeast.com/eat/uconn-undergrad-luke-gatti-mac-and-cheese-apology-video/?utm_campaign=complexmag&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social You won't believe the crazy stories in this episode's "News Potpourri". Checked Out Episode 306- 80lbs Scrotum, Words I Want to Ban and Perverts in Power
11/10/2015 Duration: 01h22minIt's a rare, but very welcomed event, when a listener and fan stops by the studio. In this case, our fan, Tom, and his wife, who is also a fan of the show, Christen, stop by the studio. Christen has to drop something off to Pete's wife. Tom, wanders around aimlessly until finding us in the garage. He stop and stares for a bit, hiding just inside the darkness of the night. The ambient light from the garage shines out the open door and illuminates Tom's eyes and teeth. Jimmy sees this first and immediately prepares to die. Could it be Bingo-Bingo Nations finally arriving for honor-killing? Praise Allah it wasn't that. It was Tom. Instead of shooing him away, we invite him in to talk a little bit about how great our show is and what we mean to him and what we will mean to the child he is expecting. Have you seen the show "The Man With the 80lbs Scrotum"? We shit you not. There's such a thing. Matt brings it up and tells Pete and Jim just enough to whet their appetites to seek the show out for viewing. In S

Checked Out Episode 305- Pete's Fears, EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with a Cosby Victim and News Potpurri
06/10/2015 Duration: 01h20minAs always, we try to bring you enlightening banter and hard-hitting, in-depth news and interviews. Keeping with that tradition, you will learn of how Pete's girly fear of tornadoes helped sooth a little girls fear of tornadoes; you will hear an exclusive interview with Sharon Van Ert, one of the latest women to allege that Bill Cosby had raped her; and finally a potpourri of the more off-beat news stories of the last week, including the Farting Pork Roll Manufacturer, "No, bear!" and College Pussies Related Links http://dailycaller.com/2015/09/29/proof-helicopter-parenting-has-created-a-generation-of-traumatized-risk-averse-wusses/ http://gawker.com/three-more-women-come-forward-to-accuse-bill-cosby-bri-1733988180?utm_campaign=socialflow_gawker_facebook&utm_source=gawker_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow http://www.nj.com/mercer/index.ssf/2015/10/lawsuit_trenton_pork_roll_maker_fired_man_for_fart.html Music Credits ALL music by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attrib

Checked Out Episode 304- Umpqua Shooting and Gov Christie's Belly on Hurricane Joaquin
03/10/2015 Duration: 01h20minThis week's question of the week for the Professor Czig Meister's Master Brewing Class is: "What brand was the first beer you ever had and who did you have it with?" Send your answer in an email to checkedoutradio@gmail.com in order to be entered to win. There was another school shooting. This time at Umpqua Community College in Oregon. These things happen so often that when we watch the news we pay attention to everything other than the horror of the story. Sorry. We're just numb to it by now. You know you are too. And you also know that you noticed the same thing that we did about this one in particular: the chicks are chunky at this college. Also, Hurricane Joaquin is bearing down on the east coast and New Jersey's valiant and gallant Governor Chris Christie has declared a state of emergency...several days ahead of when the storm MIGHT hit us. To be fair, there is also a Nor-easter ahead of the hurricane. But still, he's a jackass. To help us make sense of it all is his belly, Governor Christie's Bel

Checked Out Episode 303- Naughty Nurses and A Dating Site for Bacon Lovers
01/10/2015 Duration: 01h12minSo apparently the cows on "The View" set off a firestorm last week among our beloved nurses. But have you noticed that all the nurses you know on Facebook frequently post things that seem to be attempts to guilt you into thanking them for being a nurse or calling them a hero in writing? You don't want to admit it because you don't want to feel like you're "judging" or "attacking" them, but you've noticed and it kinda makes you cringe. We understand your denial. So we will explore if the immodesty of such an act hurts the nobility of this noble profession. Also, Matt discovers he might actually agree with the hens on "The View", which has since caused him to seek therapy. And, finally, Pete has discovered that Oscar Mayer has created a dating site for Bacon Lovers called "Sizzl". We imagine what a testimonial from a fat, bacon-loving couple would sound like. Checked Out Episode 302- "The Going to Hell Show"- Pope-apalooza, Fake 9-11 Comedian and the Disemboweling Don Juan
28/09/2015 Duration: 01h25minThis may be the most politically- and all-other-ways- incorrect show we've done to date. But, we're checked out of such things giving a shit what we say, so, you should expect it by now. That said, let us just remind you that our sponsor and any business we promote DO NOT necessarily agree with us. We promote them because we like them. Moving on... So, Pope Francis went on a whirlwind tour of the states (or three of them) last week. In this episode you will find the most hard-hitting, comprehensive coverage of his visit. Not really. We take a sophomoric approach. Instead of fawning over him like many liberals who used to hate popes and Catholics now do, we act like children and ponder why all popes sound like Dracula and this At the end of the pope discussion, Jimmy plays a clip of the Satan worshipper from a few episodes ago. That reminds Matt that that whole video was faked. This leads to a discussion of the last month's big frauds. The Satan worshipper and this douche who just ended his career as a

Checked Out Episode 301- The Sober Season Premiere: Author Eric Lindblade, Melanie From the Lodges and Multi-Level Marketing
24/09/2015 Duration: 01h26minThis is the official premiere episode of Checked Out's season 3. On it, author of "Fight as Long as Possible: The Battle of Newport Barracks, North Carolina, February 2, 1864" fills in for Jimmy the Italian and talks a bit about his book. Melanie Barnes, from the sales department at The Lodges at Gettysburg, sits down with the boys and talks about what the Lodges has to offer you. Then Matt, Pete and Eric dive into the crazy cast of characters that one might encounter when living in, or even visiting, Gettysburg. That wraps up with Matt and Pete recounting their experiences with a couple of dudes who tried to get them into an Amway-type company called "Market-America". Those pyramid schemes are the Scientology of business. Book a trip at The Lodges at Gettysburg today! Order your copy of Eric's book here! Checked Out Episode 300- The Season Premiere: Czig Meister Contest Rules; Moonshine and Memories and Annoying Wedding DJs
19/09/2015 Duration: 01h52minThe planned Gettysburg trip was doomed from the start. Jimmy the I-talian fell ill the night before the team had to leave, our Sunday-night guest was stuck in Baltimore and had to reschedule for Monday and Matt and Pete were exhausted. BUT, on the plus side, the most important part of the trip went off without a hitch. Our accomodations, courtesy of the Lodges at Gettysburg were ready and waiting for us, complete with two six packs of beer in the fridge. Seeing as how Matt and Pete were down there with all the equipment set up, they decided to record an impromptu show, while drinking Ole Smokey Moonshine. This is an open-ended soft-open to the season. That's why it's number 300 and not 301. In it, Matt and Pete discuss whatever comes to mind including the poll question about whether or not Matt should go on Trippy's show and what the decision is; how the Butterfly Effect caused this trip in the first place, annoying wedding DJs and more. Most importantly, they announce the particulars of their first
