Synopsis

The Charlie Mike Podcast is about our Nations Combat Veteranpreneurs talking about how they transformed their combat experience into a groundbreaking entrepreneurial success. We will discuss their experience in relation to what I have defined as their VisualReality; their personal vision of building a successful business leveraging their combat experience to bring the core strengths of a combat veteran into the entrepreneurial realm.

    Dwayne Paro welcomes Michael Tacke to today's podcast.  He is a California native who joined the Army following the 9/11 attacks. Michael served in the 101st Airborne as an Infantryman and later as a Green Beret in both 10th and 5th Special Forces Groups. He left the Army after 14 years in the fall of 2016 to pursue opportunities as an entrepreneur. Michael owns Veterans Heavy Haul Trucking which provides over-sized freight transportation services to customers all over the country. Additionally, Michael works at a software company, is a full-time MBA student at Lipscomb University and is a member of the National Guard. He lives in Nashville, TN with his wife Allison and their golden retriever, Ari.

    Dwayne Paro welcomes Nick Bradfield to today's podcast.  He is a Marine veteran, graduate of Northwestern University with a Masters in Predictive Analytics, and the founder of Divvy Investments, an advisor friendly robo advisor. He started his career in financial services as a financial advisor with a large brokerage firm.  After a few years Nick decided it was time to move on. He spent several years with a financial services consulting firm followed by a brief stint at a publicly traded technology company. Nick was not the right fit for the corporate world. Upon being told he needed to care less about customers, he decided it was time to go into business for himself. When not working, Nick can be found playing superheroes with his son, gazing deeply into his wife's eyes (of which she just rolled), and talking about baseball. Nick passed the Series 65 exam which allows him to operate as an Investment Advisor Representative.

He recently published his first book, My Battlefield, Your Office, Leadership Lessons From the Front Lines, which focuses on teaching mid-level managers how to lead people.  Justin is also a Presidential Leadership Scholar, a member of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, and a Senior Advisor at the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation focused on veteran employment.
