Tribute to Ian St John and the legacy the Liverpool legend leaves behind
02/03/2021 Duration: 11minLiverpool are mourning the loss of a genuine Reds legend today after the passing of Ian St John at the age of 82. St John joined Liverpool from Motherwell in 1961 and went on to play 425 games for Bill Shankly's side, scoring 118 goals across a decade of service during one of the great Anfield eras. As well as winning two top-flight league titles, St John scored the decisive goal in Liverpool’s first-ever FA Cup victory in 1965. Matt Addison is joined by the Liverpool ECHO's head of sport, David Prentice, to pay tribute to the impact that St John made on Liverpool FC as heartfelt tributes pour in. They also take a look at his media career, with 'Saint and Greavsie', in which he co-starred alongside Jimmy Greaves, one of the pioneering football shows of the 1980s and 1990s, as well as St John's radio appearances, including on Liverpool station Radio City alongside Everton hero Ian Snodin.Watch and subscribe to our Blood Red videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/BloodRedLiverpoolFCJoin our Blood Red podc

The Agenda: Do we need to talk about Roberto Firmino?
24/02/2021 Duration: 17minWe need to talk about Roberto Firmino. The forward is not the only player who has been performing below-par of late for Liverpool, and is certainly not a scapegoat for their current predicament. But with his goals decreasing year on year and his overall play having regressed, what is the solution to the problem? Matt Addison and Kai Delaney take a look at Firmino's past, present and future, discussing the underlying numbers, the amount of games he has had to play this season, and how the return of Diogo Jota will help increase the Brazilian's capacity. Firmino is often described as being the entire 'system' for Liverpool, so getting him back to something like his best is vital. Long-term a new signing might be the answer, but short-term, that is not possible - and the Reds need Firmino firing if they are to make it back into the Champions League.Watch and subscribe to our Blood Red videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/BloodRedLiverpoolFCJoin our Blood Red podcast group on Facebook: https://www.faceboo

All of that, plus James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Jordan Pickford, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and much more are discussed, before Adam picks his combined Liverpool and Everton team based only on the players currently available to play.
