It’s the moment that Reds fans have been dreaming of – and we’ll be trying our best to capture that on the Blood Red channel. But on this podcast, we’re going to be a bit reflective, and look back on what has been an incredible season for so many reasons. As well as having a look to the future – and to see what Jurgen Klopp’s brilliant team can do next, whether they need signings, and just what the landscape could look like now that Manchester City have won their appeal against their European ban. Simon is a regular on our Allez Les Rouges podcast and he now works alongside our former Liverpool FC correspondent, James Pearce, for The Athletic. The paperback edition of Simon’s book, Allez Allez Allez, is now available to buy, so it was the ideal opportunity to pick up the phone to talk to him about that, his time covering Liverpool, and lots e

21/07/2020 Duration: 01h02minIt’s the final Analysing Anfield preview podcast of the 2019-20 season but before Josh Williams and David Hughes get stuck into the games against Chelsea and Newcastle United, they look at just how newly crowned champions Liverpool somehow managed to lose at Arsenal. That then leads into a discussion about Mohamed Salah who, with a third successive Golden Boot potentially up for grabs, seems to be shooting from anywhere more than ever, and the difference between the Egyptian and his strike-partner Sadio Mane. Did the defeat at Arsenal underline the need for another forward option off the bench? Josh and Dave talk that before moving on to Chelsea, tomorrow's visitors to Anfield, and a side who will have a plethora of attacking options next season given Kai Havertz could be joining Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech at Stamford Bridge, where veteran frontman Olivier Giroud is playing some of the best football of his career. But even with buying some of the best available offensive talent on the market, will Chelsea g
