Donald Trump has been Tweeting up a storm regarding the NFL and NBA players kneeling during the National Anthem... we will cover the latest.... He was dealing with North Korea as Kim Jung Un continues to poke at the global community with launches and nuclear tests... The Pardon of Joe Arpio, The Tax Reform push... WHERE DO WE BEGIN?? Trump unveils his new Asia policy as it relates to Afghanistan and the region... is this a smart and calculated move by the President or is he taking too big a risk as making things worse?  Also, we will discuss the horrific events in Charlottesville and the fall out for the White House, for Republicans, and for the nation... We also have to say goodbye to Steve Bannon, former POTUS advisor and now the arch enemy of the Administration.... will this move break up the base for Trump? Yet, with Bannon's departure, is it possible we could see a more disciplined White House or (dare I say)... a more disciplined President? Breaking news out of Washington....The Washington Post is reporting that the U.S. Intelligence Community says that North Korea has developed a "miniaturized nuclear warhead" capable of being mounted on one of its ICBM or Medium Range Missiles.  How did this happen?  Was this expected?  How dangerous is North Korea and the situation on the Korean peninsula?  We will discuss this and the political fallout from this announcement.  Also, as the President starts to Telecommute from his Golf Resort at Bedminster, NJ, his polling numbers are beginning to tank.  Can he stop the hemorrhaging?  Can he change course and bring credibility back to him and the White House?   All of this and more....this week on BACKROOM POLITICS

Just when you thought it couldn't get ANY worse for the White House, the past ten days just happened.  After replacing Sean Spicer as Comms Director, Anthony Scaramucci goes on a tirade with the New Yorker, gets divorced, has a child, divests his millions in corporate holdings, and gets fired...all in the time it takes for the Nationals to do a West Coast road trip... Rince Priebus resigns as chief of staff....only to be replaced by Homeland Security Secretary General John Kelly (who, by the way, in his first order of business, fired The Mooch)... in the biggest drop the mic moment in the Senate during this generation, Sen. John McCain stuns his party by being the death nail in the coffin that was the GOP Health Care Bill.  Russia kicks out over 750 diplomats and staff in retaliation for Congress passing new sanctions against Russia, And, did we mention that North Korea launched a new missile that the DoD says could hit Chicago?  So yeah, it was a bad week in Washington.  Thi

Is this the death of Nationalistic Populism or just a hiccup in a growing movement?  Also, we have seen several gaffes by this President.... is he crazy like a fox or is he in over his head? The House Intelligence Committee begins a series of hearings to investigate both the Trump camp's interaction with Russia, the Russian influence on the election and the validity of the President's wiretap accusations against President Obama...we will have the latest.... and does the FBI Director and NSA Director BOTH debunking the wiretap allegation harm the credibility of Donald Trump?  Does it hurt the credibility of the Oval Office?  Judge Gorsuch began confirmation hearings this week...is this a fight that the Dems want to take up in the Senate...is he that conservative?  Also, the President released his "skinny budget"...IS IT TOO SKINNY?  What does this budget say about the Trump agenda AND what can we REALLY expect?

The CBO has scored the TRUMPCARE Bill introduced in the House...is it a good replacement for OBAMACARE? Will it sell with the Middle Class? Will it sell with Trump supporters?  The House Intelligence Committee begins investigating the President's claim that the Obama Administration (and the former President himself) wiretapped then candidate Trump's phone at Trump Tower.  How dangerous a tightrope is the President walking on this topic? German Chancellor Angela Merkle is coming to Washington, DC to meet with President Trump.  What are the expectations of this visit?  How cold is the relationship between Germany and the US?  Can Trump win over a key ally all while maintaining nationalist positions on key subjects like Trade and The Economy?  Finally, are the thoughts and tweets of Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) regarding "somebody else's babies" a sign of a new GOP mindset or a thought process taken out of context?
