He returned to Duke after serving a Bishop of the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church from 2004 to 2012. Willimon is the author of over 70 books. Episode 347: Stephen McNeill Centerpiece Volume II: Shelter and Shade  Stephen McNeill is a songwriter and music teacher who lives just outside of Memphis Tennessee.  In 2017, Stephen released his first collection of congregational songs called Centerpiece: Songs of Gospel Community. The songs on Centerpiece were born of Stephen’s experience serving as an elder in his church and walking with his community through the complexities of wrestling with Scripture and believing the Gospel in every area of life.
