The Kingdom of God is the reign of God dynamically active in human history through Jesus Christ. In the “The Parable of the Talents” (Matthew 25) we find that Jesus’ work (the focus of the Kingdom of God) is the restoration of all things. We should participate because...The good life is joining up with the work of the kingdom. This parable isn’t a command, but a loving combo of invitation and warning. We are invited to take the resources of the Kingdom of God and "play with them" for the benefit of others. Loving others means longing for the good life (participating in restoration) for everyone, and actively bearing that life to them.
