We always hear that we’re supposed to read the Bible, but why? Doesn’t it take someone who has been to school for years to learn how to actually read it? Isn’t it just an old book? People always want things from us, so naturally we begin to think God responds to us the same way. But what if God didn’t want something from us, but something for us?

What are you listening to about yourself, and is it true? We often find our security in life in things of this world that end up failing us and giving us thoughts of insecurity. The reality is that these insecurities, these lies that the enemy tries to fill our heads with, can never separate us from the love and desire that God has for us. Our security can only be found in His truth.
