Welcome to the start of something special: COACH MAGIC! This is our brand new show and I’m so excited to welcome you here. A bit of backstory ... After publishing the GET GUTSY podcast for more than 4 years, it stopped feeling aligned in early 2020. I had done all I wanted to do with that podcast. It was complete. I was complete. So I stopped and focused on other things. It was absolutely the right call. Space is a beautiful thing. A few months ago, I hosted a livestream show for a few weeks called COACH MAGIC. I loved the container. I loved breathing life into this content. So I decided to keep it going by launching a new podcast and YouTube show called COACH MAGIC. And we got to work making this idea real. I got clear about how I want this to work for me and for you. Most importantly, I got clear about how I want this to feel. I want it to feel really easy and fun. I want it to give me energy vs. take energy. I want it to largely use existing content (we have so much good stuff that can be repurposed!). I w

Pura vida! This new episode goes live while I’m leading the WOMEN WHO DARE retreat in Costa Rica. I’m here with several inspiring clients, including Beth Sears who is our guest today. Beth was brought up with very traditional beliefs about business and how her life “should” be. She was expected to have a high-powered career, be the perfect wife and mother, and she started on that path by going to law school. After having her first child, she decided that being a lawyer was not the right path for her, and she instead took on the “Martha Stewart role” of her home. Keeping the perfect home and filling so many roles became unsustainable. In Beth’s quest to be perfect, she was still not fulfilled. Beth is now a certified holistic health coach who draws on her wisdom of yoga and Reiki to help women who are in the menopausal phase in their lives to harness this natural process and feel strong in their mind, body and spirit. I love this proverb: "The mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master." The message I get from this: don’t let your mind run the show. It’s not in charge. It has an important role to play, but it’s not the one that should be leading the way for you. You have to learn to trust your intuition more. Trust the things that you just know (even when they don’t make logical sense). Trust your heart.  The role of the mind is to serve the truth of the heart. When you are truly doing the work you are meant to be doing, you have to trust that the Universe will provide what is necessary for you to succeed. Doors will open for you. It will be up to you to decide that you’re worthy of walking through these doors. If you really want to make this your reality, you must take bold action … even when you’re scared (remember that fear is excitement without the breath). Whenever I take the leap to put my work out there, the Universe always helps me out. Every time. I’ve learned that the Universe is always conspiring on my behalf. And the same is true for you. It’s okay to feel scared or unsure when you step out of your comfort zone but I promise you that clarity comes through your willingness to make moves. What do you know you need to stop doing?  What must you let go of as we enter a brand new season of transformation and growth? What are clients really investing in when they buy from you? Your energy. Not the fact that they get X number of this or Y number of that. Certainly the elements of your offer are important, but they aren’t nearly as important as the energy you bring to the work. Your energy ripples out to their energy ripples out to their results. Energy is everything. You need to ensure that you have the energy to have the conversations that need to be happening about the offers and opportunities in your business. Your energy is coming across in how you're showing up and the types of clients that you’re attracting in (or not). Be intentional here. Let’s talk about getting paid, shall we?  TRUTH: You are going to struggle if you feel guilty about charging for your incredible work. You are going to struggle if you make it really hard for someone to pay you or if you feel bad when you receive money or if you aren’t willing to sell. We’ve just completed our third school year of homeschooling and I’ve received a lot of questions about homeschooling from entrepreneur friends and friends of friends - online and in my local community here in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.  The main question >> how do you homeschool AND run a business? How is this even possible? Up to now I’ve connected 1:1 with these brave, curious souls, but have been wanting to create this episode so I can share tips and lessons learned with a wider audience. It is my intention to help you walk this path with confidence and grace if you choose to.  Homeschooling has been such a blessing for our family. It was the thing I never wanted that I have come to realize I always wanted. These moments - although many of them are HARD - are moments we will always treasure with our children.
