Season 5, Ep 11 This week on Project Freelance I am joined by composer Greg M. Johnson. He has composed music for many sci-fi films, tv shows, and even a few video games. I wanted to pick his brain about the process of composing music for entertainment. How can you watch a film, with only the dialogue and come up with music to match those scenes? I mean, downloading some song from an audio library is one thing, but composing your own music!! WOW! I'm a vocalist but I've never been able to clearly articulate the music that's in my head, which is why I hire instrumentalists to help me. Project Freelance - Season 5, Ep. 10 This week on the Project Freelance podcast I am with 17 year old freelance artist, illustrator, and cartoonist, Arimatronic. She started out as a doodler in school, but didn't find her passion for art until she got to her sophomore year of high school. She quickly learned a valuable lesson about learning how to draw in the style of realism to help develop her artistic skills.  Armed with an Ipad pro and a pencil she began creating pieces for commission after someone told her that she would buy one of her pieces. She began with digital outlines and graduated to fully detailed posters, merchandise designs, stickers, and even did fan art for the Netflix show Disenchantment. By creating a presence on social media she has continued to grow as a young freelancer and is currently working on a book. Project Freelance - Season 5, Ep. 9 I've been on Youtube for a decade and in that time I think I've become a pretty decent host and I wanted to share five tips for hosting videos of your own or for corresponding for an outlet.  1. Follow your passion and come up with video ideas around that.  2. Research your topics before you start filming.  3. Come up with a rough script to follow. It will help you stay on track and keep your thoughts organised.  4. Deliver your monologue clips or "vlog clips" in an optimal location that fits the story of the overall video, use the best lighting possible and consider investing in pro audio.  5.
