Ep010: Allison Tarter - Aquatic Biologist
01/04/2018 Duration: 01h29minWe met Allison while interviewing historian Sarah Bellian. She tagged along and we actually ended up nerding out with her for nearly an hour before we started our interview with Sarah. We became fast friends and would say this is one of our favorite episodes thus far. She's studying freshwater mussels in the Village Creek, a spring-fed stream that is a part of the Big Thicket ecosystem. We talk about these animals and how they're being effected by climate change events and civil engineering projects.

Ep004: Josh Briggs - Army Combat Veteran
18/02/2018 Duration: 01h43minJosh Briggs is another good friend of the show. He's actually our guest from Episode Three, Caitlin Lydic's main squeeze. Josh joined the Army in 2003 at the height of the War on Terror. He had seen some shit and lost a lot of friends. It's no wonder that he, like many many other soldiers during that time eventually developed PTSD. Poor mental health and an inadequate VA then led to drug-use and temporary homelessness. These are some of the topics we speak on in this episode. We're quick to characterize this as a "bummer" episode, but it's not so much that as it's very revealing of what our soldiers have to go through. Josh does a good job of keeping it as fun as he can too. Please be sure to leave some comments, likes, reviews on any of our podcast hosts. iTunes, Google Play Music, Stitcher, Spotify, Soundcloud, Youtube, and many many more.
