Sometimes God afflicts us only to bless us if we turn to him. We want God to give us things but are we willing to give back to God the thing that we ask for for his glory and his service. Have you asked for healing of your body so that you may serve God more? Have you asked God to improve your finances so you can give more? Have you asked God to give you his voice so you can testify more? Affliction is the opportunity for you to pray and for God to move in a mighty way. You will be persecuted for the sake of the Gospel and want to experience the power of Pentecost. You must go through that time. Where your power can only be released through forgiveness. The power of God and his resurrection comes from your ability to forgive. It's not going to be easy and yes God forgave us. So many times God gives us an assignment in places that are not pristine. God has assigned us to go into the darkness and bring the light and yet many so called preachers want a pristine platform. They want to work where the foundation is already been laid but yet leave those who needed the most to their own circumstance. Simply get off the couch and get into the battle your healing may be preaching to someone that has hurt you. We often pray to God when we're in trouble and after we make a mess of things. We should go to God first and foremost because he has the answer and our best interest in heart.
