Got Baggage? | Episode 161
01/03/2019 Duration: 23min"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Every person in the world, no matter where they came from, has baggage. In other words, everyone carries around things that hinder their freedom, progress, and development. It started with Adam and has continued for generations. So WHY are we so afraid to admit we have baggage? If everyone has some, why have we let the devil beat us up so bad over it? Over and over, in the scriptures, we are told to lay aside every weight, cast our cares (bags) on God, and live free from things that hinder us. So isn't it time to bring our stuff, unpack our stuff, sort through our stuff, and put away our stuff? YES! | LISTEN NOW |

Let Love Be Your Identifier | Episode 160
15/02/2019 Duration: 18min"We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19). It's an appropriate week to talk about the power LOVE has on our identity. We are all shaped by love (or the lack thereof). If identity is a sense of self, than an identifier is something that identifies a person or thing -- in other words, something that reveals identity. Henry Drummond, in his book The Greatest Thing in the World, said: "Would that we could all move into that love chapter and live there." Let's be known for our love ❤️ | LISTEN NOW |

First John 1:9 It! | Episode 159
08/02/2019 Duration: 21min"But if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, TPT). Shame is an enemy of confession. But confession holds the power of our freedom so it's obvious why the devil fights us in the realm of guilt and shame. We've all fallen and our prone to do so again at some point. But that's why Jesus told His disciples to tell us about the wonderful power of acknowledging what God has done for us. In other words, 1 John 1:9 it! | LISTEN NOW |

Identity is Still Important | Episode 158
01/02/2019 Duration: 24min"Fully immerse yourself in the Lord Jesus -- and don't waste even a moment's thought on your former identity..." (Romans 13:14, TPT). It's easy to lose direction when you're not sure of your identity. And that's been part of our journey on Identity Advantage as we recently made some changes here on the podcast. But what a great lesson for us all. God wants us to know our worth, His love, and His calling on our lives with humble confidence. And this is why knowing your IDENTITY in Christ is still important! From Our Heart To Our Lips
02/11/2018 Duration: 16minIn this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne shares from the book of Job about adversity, and how quickly it reveals our heart. In fact, Jesus too said, "...out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." When trying to identify where we're at, the best place to look first is at our words. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/7401527

God is Able!
26/10/2018 Duration: 15minOne of the best lessons on faith is found in the story of Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Not only did they stand their ground against a fear tactic, but they did so because of WHO they belonged to -- and they knew it! In this episode of IDENTITY ADVANTAGE, I share about 15 minutes of my thoughts on why it's important to stand your ground in faith... because your GOD IS ABLE! http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/7316012

How Dare We Limit God
28/09/2018 Duration: 27minNo matter what you are facing, God is saying, "I dare you to truth my love." Because the truth is, He's enough. In this special episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie (share some important news, and) discuss the difference between being a mountain-climber and a mountain-mover. What we need to remember is that faith in our heart is different than doubt in our head -- when doubts arise, answer yourself: Who am I to limit God?! http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/7095945

The Importance of Faith Friends
07/09/2018 Duration: 34minThe Bible says good friends sharpen you, or should. Everyone needs one or more go-to persons in their life whom they can trust in a crisis to balance and speak straight with them. In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie use the story of Samuel and Eli as the backdrop to discuss the importance of having friends who will love you but be unafraid to speak truth (God's Word) to you when needed most. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/7011383

Cries of the Heart
31/08/2018 Duration: 29minPraying without words. That's what the woman with the alabaster box did when she wept at the feet of Jesus. And not only did Jesus not turn her away, but the Bible says God puts all our tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about the wholeness that comes from simply pouring your heart out to God, sometimes from a very broken place. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6991618

Proverbs 18
10/08/2018 Duration: 01h09minWisdom is the principal thing, and Proverbs holds a lot of wisdom for us. In this episode of IDENTITY ADVANTAGE, Daphne and Angie look at the repeated instruction in Proverbs 18 to pay attention to how much we speak versus how much we listen. But as with other discussions, the Holy Spirit revealed so much more-- including the amazing love of God and how to find your own identity. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6906675

The One Question We're All Afraid to Ask
03/08/2018 Duration: 30minVery few people find it comfortable to be completely transparent. Most of us prefer to hide behind our "fig leaves" -- some with just a little covering while others prefer complete coverage. How much more do we feel that way with God? Who really wants to put themselves out there and ask God, "Examine me and tell me what you find..."? In this episode of IDENTITY ADVANTAGE, that's exactly what Daphne and Angie discuss. Amazingly, the truth is, asking God to examine us is probably the best question any of us could ask of God. And we're certain you will agree by the end of this podcast. Tune in! http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6880526

Why Go?
27/07/2018 Duration: 30minAs Christians, the whole world is our mission field -- whether at work, in your neighborhood, at Walmart, or across the sea. And in this episode of IDENTITY ADVANTAGE, Daphne and Angie talk about their experiences on foreign missions and how "we" are often more changed than the people we minister to. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6853857

Faith at the Speed of Light
29/06/2018 Duration: 31minWhen you walk into a room and turn on a light switch, light illuminates the room without thought. And the same is true on your exit-- turn off the switch, darkness enters as light leaves. This is the discussion on Identity Advantage this week with Daphne and Angie. Stemmed from an inspiring quote by Kris Vallotan, who said, "The Kingdom moves at the speed of trust" -- they dive into this topic of light, darkness, trust, faith, and authority. Our prayer is that revelation will hit you at the same speed it hit them! http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6750997

What Does Love Look Like?
08/06/2018 Duration: 28minYou'd probably agree it's easy to love those who love you, but what about difficult (or different) people? God told us to love our neighbor, no matter who they are. In fact Jesus said, "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me’" (Matthew 25:35-40). In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie discuss what love looks like and how it shapes our identity in Christ. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6680359

From Beggar To Believer
01/06/2018 Duration: 30minNo one is exempt from issues in this life. But perspective concerning those issues can be the difference between victory or defeat. In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about the woman with the issue of blood and ask the question, "Do we identify with her or with the anointing that helped her?" Jesus came to multiply Himself (in us). We can be the ones always with an issue, or we can be the one helping others through the anointing. What you IDENTIFY with most is important. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6654026

He Leaves the Ninety-Nine
18/05/2018 Duration: 27minIf you haven't heard the song Reckless Love yet (by Cory Asbury), we highly recommend you go listen. And pay special attention to the lyrics. The sweet revelation in this song is the backdrop for this week's podcast. In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about the beautiful illustration of Jesus leaving the "ninety-nine" other sheep to go after the ONE that's astray. But before you think (like we did) that this is just a reference to those lost in the world, think again... God's heart hasn't changed. YOU are the ONE He still pursues, watches over, and longs for. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6600642

Being Comfortable in Being Uncomfortable
04/05/2018 Duration: 28minOur comfort zone, our safe place, our camp -- these are all well and good, but do they really help us reach the lost or finish our race? This is the question on this episode of Identity Advantage. Daphne and Angie discuss Hebrews 13:13 which says, "Therefore let us go to Him, outside the camp, bearing the reproach He endured." There are so many elements to this instruction, but in light of identity, one thing is certain: going against the world's way of doing things for the sake of our faith, or stepping outside of what's naturally comfortable, will have repercussions. But DO IT anyway. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6551820

A Conversation About Deception
26/04/2018 Duration: 32minPaul said something interesting in his second letter to the Corinthians church: "But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:3). Simplicity? What did he mean? In this re-broadcast of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about deception (especially religious deception) and answer this question about the simplicityreferenced in this verse. Deception comes in many forms, but the craziest part is how do you know if you're deceived? Or how do you resist falling into it? Learn more in this week's podcast!

How To Be Useful for the Master
13/04/2018 Duration: 30minWe'd like to think every Christian has a desire to be used by God. It's certainly God's heart to spread the Good News to this world through you and I -- but there's some instructions we need to heed in order to fully prepare ourselves. In this week's episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about Paul's letters to Timothy, and specifically an analogy he uses to describe how we become "...vessels of honor, sanctified, and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work" (2 Timothy 2:21). Sandwiched right between several verses regarding how (and when) we talk to others, this illustration should not be taken lightly. http://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/6471246
