US Workers Do Not Want a Boss
27/04/2018 Duration: 10minAn article came across my feed on linked in that was discussing the move for us workers to not want a boss and move to be self employed. This is not a surprising move because we see the influence that moguls have garnered where, entrepreneurs are the new celebrities. Look at Shark Tank, Daymond John, Mr. Wonderful, Mark Cuban. Look at people like Gary Vee, Casey Neistat, Grant Cardone and many others. We have begun to put being self employed and building a business on a pedestal and I love it because now everyone has an opportunity to win. Americans are finally waking up that getting into a company, working for 30 years and retiring is no way to live a life. The millennial generation is going to be moving into a different direction because we do not want a boss, we want to be our own boss. 3 Ways To Limit Employee Turnover
24/04/2018 Duration: 12minEmployee turnover is one of the perceived problems in teh clinical research space and probably other job markets as well. This is due in large part because of the high demand for clinical research professionals combined with the plethora of job openings. This supply/ demand issue is great for employees but bad for employers and in this video we come up with some strategies to limit employee turnover. We as clinical researchers have been use to an environment where having this employee turnover was in our benefit and would take a lot of getting used to if the job market were to suddenly change. Since mobility is a great thing, a shift in this dynamic would certainly limit our ability to move jobs for more opportunity. Take advantage of the great clinical research demand! Industry News: Roche Buys Flatiron
15/04/2018 Duration: 05minThe big headline out of the health care M&A world today is Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche’s $1.9 billion acquisition of Flatiron Health, the Alphabet-backed, cancer-focused digital health analytics upstart that’s attempting to use real world patient information and big data to spur better oncology R&D. Flatiron’s cancer-centric electronic health records platform is linked to some 250 community oncology practices; it has a partnership with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to improve clinical trials by gathering data at the point of care. What’s made the company appealing to venture capital outfits, the drug industry, and the government is that Flatiron doesn’t just suck in a bunch of numbers and spit them out—its datasets are curated in an effort to separate statistical noise from actionable information. That’s hard to pull off on a mass scale. - From Fortune.com Subscribe to us on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe_8N --- Send in
