God in his very nature is a community and we are created for community relationships! Tragically though, sin entered the world and the evidence of broken relationships are all around us. When Jesus came to earth, he came so that relationships could be restored! He came to bring us back into relationship with God and with each other. This week we will see the origin, breaking and restoring of communities in the bible and what role we play in that today.

Our daily choices of faithfulness will greatly impact the future.

Correct priorities are the remedy to being overwhelmed.

This summer we took over 100 students and leaders on three main trips, serving in Philadelphia, Washington DC and Sunderland, UK. We also had some students serve with 2 Seconds or Less in Zimbabwe and many more who were involved in camp and church ministry. This Sunday we want to celebrate our Summer Trips, hearing from students about their experiences and how God worked in and through them. Students will be challenged, whatever they did this summer, to carry on serving God and others as they enter the school year.

When it comes to all of the commands in scripture, one we often forget about is baptism. Jesus modeled it for us and commanded us to do it, but there seems to be a lot of confusion about what it is all about. What is this this tradition of dunking christians into water all about? Why is it important? Who should be baptized? When do I know if I’m ready? How should it be done? We will explore these questions and hear from students who have recently been baptized, to hear their stories and why it was so important for them!

Throughout this summer we have seen how even though Israel is delivered for a short time yet still need a deliverer who can bring final justice and mercy. We will see in Romans 3, that through Jesus, God is both “just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:26).

Gordon Gregory will be sharing with us the strange story of Jephthah. Jephthah rose from humble beginning to be the Judge who led Israel in battle against Ammon. Instead of trusting God for the victory he swears an oath to sacrifice the next person that walks through his door. This bizarre oath quickly turns to tragedy when his daughter walks through the door. We need to learn from Jephthah that God is in control and we can trust him instead of trying to get what we want.

Join us as we continue our Judges series, this week looking at Gideon.

This week we start our summer series through the book of Judges, one of the most intriguing and exciting books in the bible. Mark Canada will be sharing the account of our first Judge Ehud, the least likely candidate to deliver his nation! Ehud was left handed and often left out, but God uses what makes him different, what others would call a weakness, to be his greatest strength.

Graduation Sunday is a chance to honor our graduates, hear from them about their time in CSM and challenge them to continue to pursue life in Christ as they transition to what’s next. It is always a bittersweet time, but we are excited to see what God has next for our seniors and challenge all our students to make their faith their own now, before they graduate.

True joy in life is only found in God.

How can we be angry and not sin?

God can use our fears to change our hearts to trust Him because He is with us!

As Christians, we are called to awkward (Holy) lives.

For the final week in our Misquoted Series, we are looking at Jeremiah 29:11.

True discipleship is based on obedience and relationship. There are those who think they are true disciples but are counterfeits who will face destruction.

This week we are looking at Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”. We often quote this before a big test or sports game, but Paul isn’t saying that we can achieve all our dreams with Jesus on our side. Paul is instead looking back on hard times in his life and realizes that he can be content in every circumstance, because he has Jesus. This week we will learn that contentment is not determined by circumstances, but by our relationship with God.

This Sunday we are celebrating our GO Weekend, and how God allowed our groups to serve together! We will be challenged by Galatians 6:7-10, to not give up or grow weary of doing good!
