Sisters Rain and Summer Phoenix have grown up eating, sleeping and living left-of-center. Raised in an artist activist family growing up Phoenix meant it was normal to think outside the box and color outside the lines. Welcome to LaunchLeft where famed creatives launch the next wave of music rebels. LaunchLeft aims to create an intentional space that highlights and empowers all artists for whom radical creativity is not a choice but a necessity.

So for this holiday week we are also thankful for London-based punk trio Dream Wife – who released their explosive sophomore album ‘So When You Gonna’ produced and mixed by Bjork-producer Marta Salogni. The record deals with topics such as miscarriage and gender equality and was made entirely by a non-male engineering team. Dream Wife are donating all proceeds from digital Bandcamp orders of the record to Black Minds Matter and Gendered Intelligence. @blackmindsmatter.uk connects Black individuals and families with professional and mental health services across the U.K., and @genderintelligence aims to increase understandings of gender diversity, working with the trans community and those who impact on trans lives, with a focus on supporting young trans people 8-25.
