This week, Mark and Margaret speak with Dr. Arjun Srinivasan, Associate Director for Healthcare Associated Infection Prevention Programs, Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Srinivasan is a prominent spokesman for the CDC's response to the Ebola crisis, as well as an expert on the rise of antibiotic resistant bacteria, which has killed an estimated 75 thousand Americans through hospital acquired infections.
