In a 2023 report, the Department of Housing and Urban Development estimated that there’s currently around 650,000 people homeless in the U.S. That’s a 12 percent increase from 2022. This growing population is chronically lacking healthcare, access to medications and seldom receives continuous care after leaving a hospital.
