A high profile defender for the New York Jets agreed to a new contract on Tuesday. No, it wasn't Haason Reddick. It was Michael Carter II. The elite slot corner was entering the final year of his contract. Now on a new deal that makes him the highest paid slot corner in the league, we can expect to see Carter with the Jets through 2027. For a Jets team that has been far too reactive with its roster building technique, this proactive move is a welcome change.
