She graduated from the University of Washington, took her MBA at Tuck School of Business in Darmouth College, and earned her CPA at Arthur Andersen and co. She is the owner and the CEO of Excellens Solutions. It is a Mergers & Acquisitions type of company, and they give advice to owners who want to exit or make their sale. Throughout Lamar’s career, she has worked with a variety of businesses in different industries: medical, manufacturing, e-commerce, and construction. She went to the Rady School of Management at UCSD to teach entrepreneurship. Aside from that, she was also able to establish a business and sell them. She also did brand marketing for Nestle, Disney, and Belmond. These are some of the achievements that Lamar has.
