This month The Oldtaku Connection will be looking at adaptions of the works of prolific novelist Futaro Yamada, and their influence on anime and the larger Japanese folklore. This week, we start with Basilisk: an anime adaption of what might be Yamada's most famous work: Kouga Ninpocho, or The Kouga Ninja scrolls.
