Dr. Chris Stanley earned his BA from the University of Illinois-Chicago, where he was also an all-conference track athlete. Thereafter, he earned an MS in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Florida State University, and a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Loyola University-Chicago. He coached at Florida A & M University and Illinois-Chicago during these years. He was full-time faculty at Winston-Salem State University and Florida Gulf Coast University, teaching Sport Psychology and working as a Sport Psychology consultant with numerous teams and athletes at these universities. Currently, he is research faculty at Florida State University.  He is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and lead consultant for USA Track and Field for the Tokyo Games and into the next quad. His scholarly and writing interest relate broadly to performance enhancement and development in educational and sport contexts.
