Twenty some-odd years ago, a great sports hero and slapstick-comedy-movie actor by the name of Orenthal James "OJ" Simpson nearly decapitated his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her stabbed her young-stud boy toy, Ron Goldman, to death outside of Nicole's home. The following year-and-change was full of wall-to-wall media coverage of his arrest and trial, making overnight celebrities out of lawyers, a judge and many TV personalities that we are still stuck with today.    FX has just begun running a 5-part mini-series called "The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story" . Many are saying it's good. Yet in the same breath, they are saying it's also weird. David Schwimmer, "Ross" from "Friends" as the man who spawned the evil known as Kim, Khloe and that other Kardashian into the world? Not really buying that anywhere beyond the streak of grey in his hair. And John Travolta as Robert Shapiro? Come on.
