Jhaytea born Justin Brooks comes from a small town by the name of Flowers Bay on the island of Roatan in the central caribbean islands. The historic Roatan island was under rule by the British and is now governed by Honduras. Jhaytea start singing at 8 years old in church with music already planted in his Roataneans roots and culture. Introduced to Lovers Rock and Dancehall style music in Flowers Bay, Jhaytea  was inspired by artist such as The Rockies, R.Kelly, Tupac Shakur and Capelton. At the age of 12 he started performing around the island where the locals gave him the name “Jhaytea”. To take his music to the next level, Jhaytea started performing in Miami, New York and Boston. Later on Jhaytea began recording with Ruff Ryder’s recording artist Drag-On that co-starred in the film titled, “Exit Wounds” with Steven Segal and DMX.
