April 5, 2011 SPECIAL GUEST: Rev. Joe WIlliams will join Back Room Politics during the 5:00 hour. Rev. Joseph K. Williams, Sr., joined Emmaus Services for the Aging in January 2007, bringing over 20 years of experience in human services with him. Having worked across the public, private, and non-profit sectors, Rev. Williams has developed a reputation as an innovator and collaborator on behalf of disenfranchised people. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media/Journalism from the University of the District of Columbia. Rev. Williams has served in various community leadership roles including: Board Chairman of the East of the River Clergy Police Community Partnership; Social Action Chairman of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; Chief Executive Officer of the Bridge of Hope Community Development Corporation; and, as a Crisis Counselor for the Prince George’s Public School System. Rev. Williams holds memberships in the DC Task Force on Human Trafficking
