Welcome to /the Call For Caring Empowerment Hour with Host Michelle Bolden and Special Guest Elaine Jessica Tamargo. Topic:  Young Gifted and Caregiving - A Series Young caregiver shares her journey of caregivng while in college. Elaine Jessica Tamargo is a PhD Candidate in UCLA's Higher Education and Organizational Change program. Her past work as a K-12 educator and as a career counselor for students in higher education have informed her research investigating the sociocultural influences related to career decision-making. Besides research, Elaine also works on campus as the Senior Graduate Career Consultant for UCLA Graduate Career Services and she teaches a campus-wide pedagogy training course for graduate students. Elaine became a part-time caregiver in 2018, just a few months after beginning her doctorate program. Her experience balancing caregiving responsibilities and graduate school have inspired her to advocate for better resources for other student caregivers.   We want to hear from you!  Leave
