Meet Andrew Burrill Andrew is a 4th year Media Studies and Drama double major at the University of Virginia that we have the pleasure to meet at the Frances Hesselbein Leadership Academy last year. Andrew currently serves as a delegate from the University of Virginia to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) on matters pertaining to diversity, family background, and leadership. Just recently, Andrew spoke at the TED Conference on the power of the arts and has been featured for his positive work towards generational social change on media outlets such as CNN, NBC, and the Washington Post. In his spare time he enjoys ranting about the relevancy of the arts in America and contemplating whether or not Olivia Pope ever shops in the clearance section. Andrew consistently finds great pleasure in stratifying and reconstructing today’s social norms by means of non-heteronormative practices.
