How do you prepare an off the shelf supercomputer for space travel?

Informações:

Synopsis

Spaceflight represents the cutting edge of technology. However, the computers used in spacecraft are often fairly primitive, sometimes a generation or two behind the latest models on earth. This is because any computer sent into space has to go through a hardening process. NASA & HPE are currently testing off the shelf models to see whether today's technology is space-worthy and ready to take humans to Mars. We spoke to HPE's Dr. Mark R. Fernandez, the mission’s co-principal investigator for software and HPC technology officer.
