Shirin Rajaee is an evening news anchor and reporter at CBS in Sacramento. She was born in Iran and immigrated with her family to the LA area when she was four. Growing up, Shirin would put on mock newscasts and pretend to be Diane Sawyer, dreaming of becoming a newscaster. After going into the family business after college, Shirin realized she's can't keep putting her aspirations on the back-burner. She jumped head-first into production work in cable news before getting her first on-camera break hosting an Iranian entertainment program in Farsi. Then her dreams of becoming an anchor came true.
