Pastor Marc Sharp continues today with Part 7 of our series on the books of Thessalonians, written by the apostle Paul to the believers at Thessalonica. There is nothing more discouraging to a believer than to watch someone they love as their faith fails. Paul had much joy when he heard that the Thessalonians were pressing forward in Christ, despite tribulation and persecution. He assures them that even he is not exempt from anything they are suffering, but that they are in this thing together. There is much to be said about laboring and suffering together, in some form of community. Jesus planned a faithful community, confessing the same central truths, but with different strengths and weaknesses so that we would help each other in 1,000 different ways. This is one of the great benefits of church life!
