These words were spoken by Carlos Ghosn, a former Nissan executive on trial in Japan.  He was charged with financial misconduct and did not trust the Japanese courts to give him a fair trial.  So instead of getting railroaded, he hired some people to smuggle him out of Japan and back to his home country of Lebanon.  This raises some interesting questions about private markets for escaping justice systems.
