We're talking with Kira Yakubov, LMFT, and one of our returning Support Group Leaders from November 2019's support group + workshop in Philadelphia, "Coping with Recurring Stress & Tackling Pressures Head On."  Kira is an Individual, Couples, and Sex Therapist helping others struggling with anxiety, self-worth, relational distress, and cross cultural challenges gain powerful insight to living an authentic life.  In this episode, we focus on understanding SHAME and working to get past shame and confusion of being something or doing something you're not.  At a young age, Kira and her family came to America as refugees from the Soviet Union, a dangerous time during its fall.  For her, strong feelings of shame began as a child being raised in a culture oppressive towards women's roles and sexuality, and for herself, feeling that something was wrong with her for wanting to rebel against the gender-stereotype.  In a culture where mental health may not be understood well, through her work, Kira now helps others
