Today, I invited Kenzie Clark from Able Transition Consulting, LLC to share her work in helping families and individuals with disabilities transition to adulthood here in the Triangle in North Carolina. Through her services, she helps pave a path forward through providing concrete skill-building support, a person-centered plan, resources, trusted advisors and an overview of what the transition process entails, what it means and how to specifically prepare. My conversation with Kenzie illuminates so much about the transition process. Some families have no idea where to start within their community or even what their state or county offers in services.
