MATT LENZ (mattlenzdirector.com) is a New York based freelance theater director who has worked all over the world with many of the industry's biggest and brightest talents.  Matt was the Associate Director to Tony Award-winner Jack O’Brien on the original production of Hairspray on Broadway, National Tours, Las Vegas, the UK, Toronto and in Cologne, Germany.  Matt was also the Associate Director for Catch Me If You Can on Broadway and directed the 2012-13 first national tour. He directed acclaimed Hairspray productions at The Paper Mill Playhouse, the St. Louis MUNY as well as 3 national tours and a ground-breaking production in Johannesburg, South Africa.     Other credits include: the Off-Broadway hit comedy The Irish Curse at Soho Rep, Idaho! for New York Musical Theatre Festival (winner “Best Director” and “Best Show of Fest” Awards 2008) and at the Forestburgh Playhouse, Susie Mosher’s The Great Daisy Theory Off-Broadway, Fingers and Toes at NYMF, The Yellow Brick Road Not Taken: WICKED's 5th Annive
