Like a warm plate of Christmas Fettuccine, The Holiday may not be the most nutritious festive treat on the market, but damn if it doesn't hit the spot, despite our best efforts at maintaining our cynicism... Starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black, Nancy Meyers' Atlantic-straddling hit exists in that strange Rom-Com fantasy world where money is no object, every house is either a beautifully isolated British cottage or a lavish L.A. mansion decorated with actual chandeliers and flying across the world at the drop of a hat requires no forward planning or adjustment of work/social schedules.  In other words, it should be completely insufferable, but by some Christmas miracle we both found ourselves irresistibly drawn in.
