Ok it’s been two weeks since we have been in this passage of Philippians so let’s step back a moment and put this morning’s scripture in context. Paul has just described how joy is found in a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ defined by 4 characteristics: • Leaving the world behind – full focus on Christ not living in two worlds • Changed values – world is skubalon – surpassing value of Christ • Resting in Grace – not righteousness of our own – but in grace • Knowing Him – Power, suffering, conformity That is where we begin this morning.
