Genoveno Salinas was being questioned by police in connection with a double shotgun murder. He refused to answer a question about his shotgun. The government was allowed to use his silence against him, as evidence of his guilt, at trial. Doesn’t that violate the right to remain to silent? Not according to the Supreme Court.
